Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has urged social media giants to prevent the abuse of players by online trolls.
Marcus Rashford and Southampton's Alex Jankewitz are among those to recently face racial abuse, while a teenager was spared a criminal conviction this week for sending racist messages to Arsenal legend Ian Wright.
Arteta said: ‘I think it (abuse) has to be eradicated completely. Social media has a big responsibility.
'You talk about the mental health of players and how exposed they are. It is causing a lot of damage, so we have to be really strong.
