Manolo Gabbiadini reveals how manager Claude Puel is behind his flying start at Southampton

Manolo Gabbiadini is confident his January move to Southampton will represent 'a turning point' in his career.

The striker moved to the south coast during the most recent transfer window for around £14million after being deemed surplus to requirements by Napoli.

Since making the switch, the 25-year-old has been in fine form and he has already bagged five goals in three games for his new club - including two in Sunday's EFL Cup final.

And, while he is not letting himself get carried away, Gabbiadini believes his decision to join Southampton could transform his career, saying his orders from manager Claude Puel are behind his scoring streak.
