Manolo Gabbiadini's impending switch to Sampdoria will prove the best solution for everyone, according to Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.

The 27-year-old Italy forward is set to return to his homeland, with a reported £11million deal close to completion.

Gabbiadini joined the Saints from Napoli in January 2017, but has scored just once in 15 appearances this season.
