LAFC have swooped for the former Southampton and Sampdoria defender Maya Yoshida and Lucas Moura could follow.
The Athletic reported the arrival of Yoshida, 34, to the Major League Soccer champion, while Moura has been linked with a move by reports in his native Brazil.
The Yoshida deal will likely be confirmed later this week - LAFC is currently under a transfer sanction that means they can only officially sign free agents from abroad after the August 2 deadline.
The Japan international, who has 127 caps for his country, is a free agent after leaving German team Schalke at the end of his contract.
