Mikel Arteta has challenged Matteo Guendouzi to get behind his Arsenal rebuild as rumours of a summer exit for the Frenchman build.
The hot-headed midfielder enraged his manager and many fans by lashing out at Brighton's Neal Maupay after the forward scored the winner in the Gunners' miserable 2-1 defeat to the south-coast side.
Guendouzi remarkably escaped any retrospective action but was left out of Arteta's squad for the 2-0 win over Southampton on Thursday, with the Spaniard citing 'internal issues'.
