David Moyes believes the fear of losing out on Premier League riches is making top flight owners trigger happy.
Moyes eased the pressure on his job with a crucial 1-0 win in West Ham’s basement battle with rock-bottom Southampton.
But, during the game Brendan Rodgers became the eighth manager in the division’s bottom 10 to lose his job when he was axed by Leicester.
Rodgers’s dismissal also made it a Premier League high 12 mid-season sackings, two more than in any previous campaign.
Moyes said: ‘I can understand the panic.
