'He's a funny character, a big joker': Mario Lemina reveals Wolves goalscorer Diego Costa is a big influence in the dressing room

Diego Costa is a constant menace to his own Wolves team-mates as well as opposition defenders, Mario Lemina has revealed.

Costa, the veteran striker lured out of retirement in September, scored his first Premier League goal since 2017 to help move Wolves seven points clear of the bottom three.

One goal in half a season is a pale imitation of the 34-year-old’s three seasons at Chelsea, where he netted 59 times in 120 games to help lift the Premier League title in 2015 and 2017.

But former Southampton midfielder Lemina, who made his own Premier League return in January when he signed from Nice, made it clear Costa is a big influence off the pitch.
