Everton have made a £25m move for Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The Toffees have stepped up their interest in the Dane as they bid to beat Tottenham to his signature.
Hojbjerg has outlined his wish to leave Southampton for a bigger club, a declaration that led to him having the captaincy taken off him and handed to James Ward-Prowse.
His preference is a move to Tottenham with Hojbjerg ready to reject interest from Dutch side Ajax and from Spain due to his desire to move to north London.
