Cesar Azpilicueta returns to Chelsea's training ground after being discharged from hospital following his horror collision against Southampton that saw him given OXYGEN as he left on a stretcher

Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has been discharged from hospital after suffering a concussion in a horror collision against Southampton.

The 33-year-old is believed to have been unconscious after Southampton substitute Sekou Mara attempted to volley the ball but only booted Azpilicueta in the face.

Azpilicueta needed oxygen as he was treated by medics from both teams for nearly 10 minutes on the pitch.

The defender was eventually taken off on a stretcher, wearing a neck brace, and was kept at the hospital for further tests over the last few days.
