Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain insists he 'needs to play as consistently as possible' as he prepares to leave Liverpool on a free transfer... and says it's 'harder to say goodbye' after winning five trophies at Anfield

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain believes he needs regular playing time as enters the peak years of his career after leaving Liverpool on a free transfer this summer.

The 29-year-old has endured an injury-plagued stint with the Anfield club after joining from Arsenal for £35million in summer 2017 and initially established himself as the driving midfield force in Jurgen Klopp's team.

But in recent seasons the England international has struggled to nail down a regular spot in the squad and is now open to offers that can see him take the field on a consistent basis once again.
