TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 20, 2021 – University of South Florida women's soccer forward Sydny Nasello was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. It's her first honor of the season.
Nasello (Land O' Lakes, Fla.), who scored three goals during the week, was a key piece of a surging USF (6-2-1, 1-0-0 AAC) offense that tallied five goals across two wins. The Bulls picked up the 3-2 overtime win in their conference opener against ECU, then a 2-1 victory over FGCU in the non-conference finale.
