TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 4, 2021 – The University of South Florida women's soccer team is heading to its seventh American Athletic Conference Tournament finals match in nine seasons after a 2-0 win over No. 17 SMU on Thursday evening.
Sydny Nasello (Land O' Lakes, Fla.) and Lucy Roberts (Cheshire, England) scored USF's goals in the win, while Sydney Martinez (Rincon, Ga.) tallied five saves in net for the Bulls.
The teams each had opportunities in the first half, but USF's Martinez and SMU's Samantha Estrada kept the opposition off the scoreboard.
