Woman, 57, charged with murder in death of husband

A 57-year-old woman found standing over the lifeless body of her husband has been charged with premeditated murder, according to authorities.

Tina Belles was booked into the Broward County jail Saturday after deputies entered her home earlier that day and found her husband, Rodney Belles, 56, dead on the kitchen floor, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue pronounced Belles dead at the scene.

Tina Belles "made spontaneous utterances to deputies about having shot her husband," BSO spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion said.

The shooting happened about 8:50 a.m. in the 1900 block of Southwest 46th Terrace, in unincorporated Fort Lauderdale.
