Former Buccaneers wide receivers coach returns to Tampa Bay
TAMPA, JAN. 8, 2017 – University of South Florida head football coach Charlie Strong today announced the return of veteran coach Charlie Williams to the Bay Area as the Bulls’ wide receivers coach.
Williams, a 31-year coaching veteran, held the same position on Strong’s staff at Texas last season after previously coaching the Indianapolis Colts’ running backs in 2015. Williams served as the Colts’ receivers coach from 2012-14 and initially gained NFL experience as a receivers coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1996-2001.
