TAMPA, FLA., JULY 25, 2019 – USF junior Coby Weiss has been named to the 2019 Lou Groza Award Preseason Watch List, making the watch list for the award recognizing the nation's most outstanding collegiate kicker.
Weiss (Gainesville) becomes the fourth Bull named to a national award watch list prior to the 2019 season, joining senior tight end Mitchell Wilcox (Mackey Award), senior tackle Marcus Norman (Outland Trophy) and junior defensive back Mike Hampton (Jim Thorpe Award).
A second team all-conference selection by Phil Steele in 2019, Weiss appeared in 12 games as a walk-on in his first season on the field for the Bulls.
