TAMPA, Aug. 22, 2019 – No.18/14 USF defeated Auburn, 2-1, Thursday night with a game-winning goal delivered by sophomore (Land O' Lakes, Fla.) in the last twenty seconds of the game.
South Florida (1-0-0) took an early lead when all-time leading scorer (L'Ancienne-Lorette, Canada) scored her first goal of this season on a pass from Nasello (Land O' Lakes, Fla.) in the fourth minute.
In the 34minute, the Tigers (0-1-0) tied up the game with a goal from Jessie Gerow, assisted by Caroline Peterson. With the threat of overtime looming, Nasello sealed the victory for the Bulls in the 90minute.
