TAMPA (Nov. 21, 2022) – The University of South Florida women's basketball standouts Elena Tsineke and Carla Brito were recognized by the American Athletic Conference as this week's award winners, the league announced on Monday. Tsineke was named the AAC Player of the Week, while Brito earned her second-consecutive Freshman of the Week Award. It marks the second-straight sweep of the weekly awards for the Bulls with Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu being named last week's Player of the Week joining Brito.
The tandem helped South Florida to a 2-0 record last week with a win over Alabama at home, 67-59, on Nov.
