USF Women's Tennis Downs Wichita State, 5-2

WICHITA, KAN. (March 18, 2022) – The University of South Florida women's tennis team (5-10) downed Wichita State (6-10), 5-2, Friday in Wichita, Kan., as the Bulls began a two-match weekend road swing.

USF claimed the doubles point as the team of Grace Schumacher (Bathurst, Australia) and Margriet Timmermans (Bergen Op Zoom, Netherlands) posted a 6-2 victory on Court 2 and Wichita State, which had just five active student-athletes, forfeited on Court 3.

Wichita State forfeited on Court 6 in singles, to give the Bulls a 2-0 lead.

The Bulls dropped the opening sets in singles on Court 1, 2, 3 and 4, but got big rallies on two courts to clinch the team victory.
