The South Florida Bulls women’s basketball team earned the no. 8 seed in the Greensville 1 regional of the 2023 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament where they’ll face No. 9 Marquette on Saturday.
The winner will get to face the winner of No. 1 seed South Carolina vs. No. 16 Norfolk State. The Golden Eagles finished 21-10 (13-7 Big East).
The Bulls (26-6, 15-1 AAC) won The American regular season title with ease, but was bounced in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament last week by Wichita State. Thanks to a strong non-conference slate that saw the Bulls beat Alabama, Texas, and Arkansas, their participation in the tournament was never in doubt.
