Coming off a disappointing (in more ways than one) 79-74 to the Oklahoma Sooners, USF women’s basketball head coach Jose Fernandez made sure his team knew that the way they played cannot continue.
The intensity level of today’s practice was the highest it has been all season, and senior forward Maria Jespersen acknowledged as much.
“I definitely think we needed a practice like this,” Jespersen said. “We probably needed it some weeks ago as well.”
The team spent nearly 20 minutes working on closing out on three-point shooters during the portion of practice open to the media, making sure they contested every shot while still being able to move their feet defensively.
