TAMPA (Feb. 12, 2017) –In front of a roaring 300 person crowd, the USF men’s tennis team utilized three nearly simultaneous singles victories to upset No. 16 Mississippi State 4-2 in the Bulls' home opener on Sunday afternoon.
Even after losing the doubles point, USF maintained its composure. After near misses at ranked opponents Ohio and Michigan earlier in the year, the Bulls seemed determined to prevent a similar fate on Sunday.
Senior Vadym Kalyuzhnyy (Donetsk, Ukraine) downed Simon Baudry to put the Bulls on the board in one of the only two straight set matches.
