USF Softball Powers Past Mississippi State, 4-0

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., May 20, 2022 – The University of South Florida softball team (45-14) used a strong showing in all aspects of the game to earn a 4-0 win over Mississippi State (32-24) on Friday evening. The Bulls will now play Florida State (53-5) in the first game of the day tomorrow at 1 p.m.

USF's offense was driven by a pair of home runs in the sixth inning off the bats of Meghan Sheehan (Forest Hill, Md.) and Josie Foreman (West Palm Beach, Fla.). Alexis Johns (Sarasota, Fla.) manufactured a run in the first inning as well, while Georgina Corrick (Sanford, Fla.
