TAMPA, Fla., March 11, 2022 – The University of South Florida softball team opened its weekend tournament with a 1-0 victory over Army on Friday night. The Bulls have now won 12 straight games.
(Sanford, Fla.) pitched a complete-game shutout, her seventh solo feat this season. (Fort Myers, Fla.) led the team on offense, going two-for-three with the game-winning RBI.
South Florida got on the board early. (Forest Hill, Md.) reached on a walk in the second plate appearance of the inning, then came around to score on a single from Ponn.
With the lead, Corrick was able to deal in the circle.
