TAMPA, Feb. 12, 2024 – The University of South Florida softball team improves to 4-2 on the season after a 4-1 win over the Kansas Jayhawks (2-3-1) on Monday afternoon at the USF Softball Stadium.
A three-run fifth inning gave South Florida the runs it needed to take and hold the lead over the Jayhawks. (Millville, N.J.) started the inning with a single, then advanced on a sacrifice bunt. A single from (White Plains, N.Y.) put runners on the corners.
(Plainfield, Ill.) showed her discipline at the plate and earned a walk to load the bases.
