TAMPA (June 5, 2020) – University of South Florida head men's soccer coach Bob Butehorn has announced the signing of midfielder Shion Soga (Aichi, Japan) to a National Letter of Intent (NLI).
Soga joins Segun Afolabi (Austell, Ga.), Josh Gomina (Sampa, Ghana), Donovan Hesselmeyer (North Ft. Myers, Fla.), Jeffrey "JT" Copper (Tampa, Fla.) and Brian Schaefer (Atlantic Beach, Fla.), who inked NLIs in December.
"Shion is a midfielder that we're excited to add to our group in 2020," said Butehorn. "For a freshman, he brings a wealth of experience having played for top schools and club teams in both Japan and Michigan.
