TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 22, 2025 — South Florida senior forward Izaiyah Nelson has been recognized with The American Conference's Honorable Mention for Player of the Week honor following a pair of dominant showings last week, including a powerful double-double effort against UMBC and a highlight performance at No. 16 Alabama.
Nelson was at his best in USF's 94-69 victory over UMBC, pacing the Bulls with 20 points and 11 rebounds, anchoring South Florida's physical presence on both ends of the floor. His leadership helped USF control the paint and secure a convincing home-stand victory.
