TAMPA, Nov. 14, 2018 – University of South Florida head men's basketball coach announced on Wednesday that Jamir Chaplin (Norcross, Ga.) has signed a National Letter of Intent on the first day of the early signing period.

A 6-foot-5 guard at Meadowcreek High School, Chaplin is a three-star prospect who chose USF over offers from Georgia Tech, Tulane, Illinois State and Middle Tennessee. As a junior at Meadowcreek High School, Chaplin led his team to a 26-6 overall record and capped the season with a state championship in Georgia's highest classification.
