MEMPHIS, Tenn., JAN. 16, 2016 – Senior Angel Nunez recorded 16 points and nine rebounds in USF’s 71-56 loss at Memphis Saturday at FedExForum.

The forward from New York made 5-of-10 shots from the field 6-of-7 from 3-point range.

“He only took one three, which is impressive,” said head coach Orlando Antigua. “He did a good job of getting to the free throw line. He had a really good outing and had nine rebounds, so he was really engaged.”

USF (3-16, 0-6 American Athletic Conference) showed toughness against Memphis (12-5, 3-1) by outrebounding the Tigers 50-41 including a 19-16 edge on the offensive glass.
