USF baseball redshirt sophomore LHP Shane McClanahan was named to the D1baseball.com preseason third-team All-American list on Tuesday.
McClanahan has continued his torrid rise up MLB draft boards ahead of his much-anticipated, and likely final season of college baseball. Scouts have told TDS that his fastball-slider-changeup combination is one of the best they’ve seen as a scout.
It all comes back to control for McClanahan. He was erratic at times in his debut season after missing all of 2016 due to Tommy John surgery.
