TAMPA (February 27, 2022) – The University of South Florida (4-2) put on an offensive clinic Sunday afternoon in a 17-2 romp to complete a three-game sweep of Stony Brook (1-5) at USF Baseball Stadium.
South Florida's 17 runs scored are the most since a 17-4 victory over UCF on April 1, 2008.
Drew Brutcher (Lakeland), Daniel Cantu (Jacksonville) and Carmine Lane (Lake Placid) each homered on Sunday and combined for nine RBI. Brutcher doubled, homered and tallied a career-high five RBI – the most by a Bull since Coco Montes on April 14, 2018.
