USF Adds Former NC State WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Willie Taggart released some big news before the holiday weekend, confirming the transfer of not just UCLA quarterback Asiantii Woulard, but also NC State wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Valdes-Scantling, a rising junior, will have to sit out the 2015 season and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

MVS, as he shall be called hereafter, was a low three-star recruit out of Lakewood High in St. Petersburg, and gave the Bulls a good, long look before choosing the Wolfpack. He was productive in his two seasons with the Pack: he played right away as a true freshman and tallied 22 catches for 281 yards and put up another 22 catches for 257 yards and a remarkable touchdown last season.
