TAMPA (July 20, 2022) – The 2022 Majory League Baseball Draft concluded on Tuesday as three additional players from the University of South Florida were selected. Right-handed pitcher Jack Jasiak (Spring Hill) was drafted in the 12th round (361st overall pick) by the Cleveland Guardians, right-handed pitcher Brad Lord (Crawfordville) was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 18th round (531) and third baseman Carmine Lane (Lake Worth) was taken in the 19th round (562) by the Miami Marlins.
A total of four Bulls were selected in this year's draft with Tuesday's trio joining right-handed pitcher Orion Kerkering (Venice) who was drafted in the fifth round by the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday.
