Gilbertson joined the USF staff last summer as a graduate assistant coach working with the offense. He replaces Stu Holt who departed the staff in order to move his family back to their home area.
“David is a really smart, cerebral coach who brings a lot of energy, is great with our kids and has their respect,” Taggart said. “He is the son of a coach and has been with our program for a year now and really knows our system and what we want to do. He’ll be a great fit for the Bulls moving forward.
