A man was found with a stab wound inside a car in the parking lot of the Hollywood Police Department.
Officer Anthony Gomez says the injured man was inside a white sedan that remains in the parking lot of police headquarters at 3250 Hollywood Boulevard.
The injured man was taken to a local hospital, Gomez said.
The incident was initially discovered about 9 a.m.
The parking lot of the police department is sealed off with crime scene tape and two squad cars are stationed at the entrance to the parking lot.
Other vehicles that are in the vicinity of the white sedan were being searched by police officers.
