HOUSTON, Texas., Sept. 15, 2022 – The University of South Florida women's soccer team dropped their first conference match of the season with a 2-1 loss at Houston on Thursday.
Signe Markvardsen (Rosklide, Denmark) netted the Bulls' goal in the game, while Meghan Root (Arcade, N.Y.) tallied an assist. Sydney Martinez (Rincon, Ga.) made five saves in net.
The Bulls held play for most of the first half, tying with shots with Houston, 8-8. However, Houston's offense started to push back early in the second period, opening a 1-0 advantage at '72.
