HOUSTON (October 19, 2023) – The University of South Florida returned to action on the road at Rice on Thursday for an American Athletic Conference matchup. led USF with its lone goal of the match as the Bulls (8-5-2, 4-1-2 AAC) and Owls (3-11-2, 1-5-1 AAC) battled to a draw.
The Owls got on the board first as Sarah Piper converted the penalty kick in the 30th minute.
It only took 34 seconds for the Bulls to respond. Fetaj ripped a shot from just outside the box and found the back of the net to tie the match in the first half.
