GAINESVILLE, Fla. (Oct. 24, 2016)-- After five days of grueling competition, Peter Bertran and Justin Roberts represented the USF men's tennis team in the finals of the ITA Southeast Regional. The pair finished as the runner-up at the competition after a tought battle in the finals.
The duo, playing a three-set match, forced the deciding tiebreaker, coming up just short. Florida's Alfredo Perez and Johannes Ingildsen came out on top with a 6-3, 3-6, 10-3 victory over the Bulls.
Monday's battles also included a semifinal matchup againt Georgia's Wayne Montgomery and Emil Reinberg. Bertran and Roberts battled hard to a third set, defeating the Florida duo, 7-6(5), 4-6, 10-8, to move on to the finals.
