Stats in 2014: Johnson had a fine true freshman season, providing the occasional thunder to Marlon Mack's lightning and running for 150 yards on 46 carries (3.3 ypc) along with catching eight passes for 107 yards and a score. He also returned eight kickoffs for 157 yards.
Spot on Fall Depth Chart: Third-string behind Mack and Darius Tice, but there's some significance to the fact that he's listed at all-- no other position on the depth chart goes three deep. Tice had a really nice spring and Johnson was sidelined with an injury for the end of it, so the battle for second-string will likely continue in fall camp when D'Ernest is back at full strength.
