TAMPA, Oct. 24, 2019 – The No. 21 University of South Florida women's soccer team (11-3; 6-1 The American) extended its win streak to five with a 1-0 victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats (6-8-2; 4-3 The American). Sydney Martinez (Rincon, Ga.) posted her second straight shutout in the win.
USF controlled play for most of the game and its defense played well in the second half. The Bulls stifled Cincinnati's hopes of a comeback in the second half with good clock management and a suffocating defense.
South Florida dominated in the opening half.
