TAMPA, AUG. 8, 2019—The 41stannual Mayor's Cup or Rowdies Cup will be the start of a new era for the contest between the University of Tampa and South Florida men's soccer programs. The game will now serve as a fundraiser for a local charity, with this year's game on Aug. 24 benefiting Children's Cancer Center of Tampa.
"Over the years this game, and this fantastic city, have provided so many great memories for all of us," head coach Bob Butehorn said. "So to show our appreciation, the coaching staffs from both schools looked for ways in which this game could give back to the Tampa community.
