Man sought in I-95 road-rage stabbing turns himself in, charged with battery

The man being sought in connection with an I-95 confrontation that left a man with a stab wound to his side has turned himself in, authorities said Thursday.

Peter P. Whyte, 42, is believed to be the driver of a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis who followed Deerfield Beach resident Nolan Goad and his girlfriend Tawny Grogin on to the interstate Monday and then fought with Goad on the side of the road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Whyte "turned himself in this morning," said FHP Sgt. Mark Wysocky.

Other details about Whyte turning himself in have not yet been released.
