Police were seeking information from the public Sunday morning after an a man was found battered and bleeding outside a downtown apartment building.
The sidewalk in front of the Eclipse Apartments, 307 N.W. 1st Ave., was splattered with blood when police arrived about 7 a.m.
A Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue truck was later dispatched to wash down the sidewalk, according to Deputy Chief Timothy Heiser.
The man was not identified.
