TAMPA, JAN. 30, 2017 – Sophomore standout Kitija Laksa landed on the American Athletic Conference honor roll for the second time this season after turning in 44 points in a 2-0 week for the Bulls.
The two-time The American Player of the Week averaged 22.0 points per game, shooting 41 percent in two games. Laksa opened the week with a 28-point performance at SMU, including nine points in the fourth quarter in the Bulls 52-51 comeback win. Laksa secured her ninth 20-plus point game of the season. At Temple, the Latvian again led the Bulls in scoring, tallying 16 points.
