TAMPA, JUNE 21, 2017 – Kitija Laksa continues to step up her game on the world stage after a record-breaking sophomore season for USF women's basketball.
Starting for her native country, Laksa put together her third straight double-digit scoring game to help send Latvia to the 2017 FIBA EuroBasket Championship quarterfinals on Tuesday. Laksa's 10-point performance included a 3-pointer that spotted Latvia a five-point lead early in the fourth quarter of its 75-70 win over defending champion Serbia in Prague, Czech Republic.
Through four games, Laksa is averaging 10.
