Colorado Springs, Colorado., Feb. 29, 2024 – USA Basketball has selected South Florida women's basketball Head Coach Jose Fernandez as an assistant coach for the 2024 USA Basketball Women's U18 National Team, announced by the national governing body on Thursday.
Coach Fernandez will make his assistant coaching debut for USA Basketball after serving as a court coach in 2018 for the U18 National Team Trials.
"I'm humbled and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside two unbelievable coaches and to be a part of a journey with incredible student-athletes in the pursuit of a gold medal this summer," said Coach Fernandez.
