TAMPA (March 9, 2022) – After taking home her first collegiate win on Tuesday, the University of South Florida's Melanie Green (Medina, N.Y.) has also earned American Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week honors for the first time in her career.
Green shares the weekly award with Tulsa's Lovisa Gunnar with whom she shared medalist honors with at the Trinity Forest Invitational. Green and Gunnar were the only two players in the x-player field at Trinity Forest to shoot par or better, both finish at even-par 216.
Green shot two-under-par 70 with five birdies in the final round on Tuesday to climb to the top of the leaderboard and shared the tournament lead with 10 total birdies over 54 holes.
