Former Bull Ben Sweat Earns First Start, Second Cap with USMNT

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., Oct. 16, 2018- USF men's soccer four-year letter winner Ben Sweat earned his first start and second cap in his first international call-up to represent his country and play for the US Men's National Team against Peru at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.

Sweat, current New York City Football Club defender, started the match at left back to earn his second cap in a week with USMNT. Sweat helped the USMNT draw with Peru 1-1 on Tuesday night.

Sweat, 27, has played in 53 Major League Soccer matches with NYCFC and has recorded 48 starts.
