Fort Lauderdale fire crews were responding to a fire at an office building in downtown Fort Lauderdale on Thursday afternoon.
During the lunch hour, smoke was seen rising from the Bank of America building at 401 East Las Olas Boulevard.
A spokesman for Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue tweeted that crews were investigating and that the building was being evacuated. A public information officer was also at the scene.
