More than three decades after he allegedly raped a Plantation woman during a home invasion robbery, a 49-year-old Miami man has been arrested and charged with sexual battery and armed burglary after a DNA match linked him to the crime, police said.
Aaron Todd Rhone was arrested and charged in connection with an assault that occured in 1983 and had been inactive for years, according to Plantation detectives.
During his first appearance before a judge Thursday, Rhone ignored the advice of a public defender to remain silent and cried out, "I was 17 years old. I was just a child.
