TAMPA, Fla., March 6, 2022 – University of South Florida pitcher has had quite the week.
On Wednesday, she broke the USF single-game strikeouts record with 19 against FGCU while also claiming the program's career shutouts record with her 38 such effort. On Saturday, she threw 12 strikeouts, surpassing the millennium milestone, only the second pitcher in team history to do it.
Then on Sunday, Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) achieved perfection for the first time in her career, and the fourth time in program history, by sitting down 15 consecutive batters without allowing a baserunner.
In chase of perfection, Corrick struck out eight batters and threw just 56 pitches.
